The cost of the study tour for a participant comprises of three different things:
  • The participation fee
  • Extra fees (no SRC or NNV subsidy)
  • Case work of 160 hours
Participation fee
The minimum of costs for the participants amounts to: General participant’s contribution à €1000,- and a €200,- deposit. This contribution can be paid in three terms. The first payment will be €300,-, the second €400,- and the third €400,-. The deadlines for the payments are 1 October 2016, 1 December 2016 and 1 February 2017, respectively. The included participant’s deposit of €100,- will be refunded after the trip in case there were no unexpected costs.
The payments also include another deposit of €100,-, which is to be paid simultaneously with the first payment. The deposit will be returned after the trip if you have not breached the terms of the participants contract.
Date Price
1st of October €300,- (+ €100,-)
1st of December €400,-
1st of Febuary €400,-
 Extra fees

For some participants however, there might be some additional costs.

If, for example, you don’t have a right to receive SRC-subsidy because you cannot acquire study points for the trip for some reason, there will be about €370,- of extra costs for you.

If you are not a member of the NNV (Nederlandse Natuurkunde Vereniging), and you are not willing to become a member, then the subsidy of the NNV is expected to be paid by yourself. The contribution you have to make will be around €100,-.

Case work

Every non-committee student participant is also obliged to work on a case at a physics department or company. The duration of your work will be 160 hours. The cases will be assigned to you by the committee members, but you are free to give us your preference about the type of case you want to do and in which quartile(s) the case fits your schedule best.
